Requirements & Skills
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in emergency nursing or acute care preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Knowledge of ER protocols and patient care standards
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room adhering to established protocols
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, identifying changes and intervening appropriately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, prioritizing patient safety
- Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines at all times
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in Emergency Room or related acute care setting preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Outstanding teamwork and collaboration skills
Compensation: Hourly rate of $61.00 - $72.00 based on experience and qualifications.
